Trial Smart Bollard at MSC Terminal Valencia

MSC Terminal Valencia is a terminal dedicated to the handling of containers of Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), which is the largest container shipping company in the world.
 
At the end of last year we were invited by MSC Terminal Valencia to discuss the replacement of their standard bollards for Smart Bollards to moor their huge container vessels. 

Busy days in our factory for dredging equipment

These are busy days for dredging companies! At the moment there are many projects and dredgers deployed around the world, and when the dredgers are doing their hard work at sea they require a lot of new equipment, as can be seen in our factory at the moment.

Straatman and Strainstall collaboration celebration

After 9 months of working virtually, it was great to meet in person at last!

Straatman and James Fisher Strainstall celebrate the first nine months of our relationship in servicing Strainstall’s legacy quick release hook customers. Due to Covid restrictions all contacts between Strainstall and Straatman have been online until last week, when we finally met in person.

Custom made capstans for HES Hartel Tank Terminal

Last year, we delivered fifteen custom made vertical capstans, executed completely weather proof and suitable for ATEX Zone 1 to our customer Hes International B.V. for their brand new HES Hartel Tank Terminal, which is developed at the Maasvlakte in the Port of Rotterdam. This terminal will offer storage capacity for petroleum products and biofuels.

Calandkanaal mooring project ready for installation

After a lot of hard work in the last months of last year, we are happy to inform you that we have successfully completed the assembly and testing of the 24 ATEX and Safe Area solar systems for the expansion of the berths 81 and 82 in the Calandkanaal, Port of Rotterdam. All systems were completely tested in our factory to ensure a smooth and efficient installation on site coming April 2022.

Bow discharge coupling unit for Damen Dredging Equipment

Last year, Straatman was awarded an order for a bow discharge coupling unit, by Damen Dredging Equipment. Straatman completed the engineering and production of this impressive 50 ton assembly at our factory in Zwijndrecht.

Mooring project for Polimery Police

We are approaching completion of the engineering and production phase on one of our major projects of 2021; The Polimery Police project.

Polimery Police in Northwest Poland is one of the largest petrochemical projects currently implemented in Central and Eastern Europe, and includes a handling and storage terminal as well as logistics infrastructure.

Quick release mooring hook project for Equinor Kårstø terminal

Straatman accepted a fantastic order for a project at Equinor Kårstø terminal in Norway.
 
The Kårstø processing plant, located north of Stavanger, is the largest of its kind in Europe. The plant plays a key role in the transport and processing of gas and condensate from major sites of the northern parts of the North Sea.

First deliveries of berthing project Calandkanaal

The first of 14 transports has just left our factory in Zwijndrecht, delivering a large solar and mooring hook project to the Port of Rotterdam.
