Efficient In-hook Loadcell Calibration LNG berth Malaysia

Our recent project with Petronas involved the calibrating of the Mooring Load Monitoring Systems on their LNG Berth in Malaysia, equipped with Strainstall Quick Release Mooring Hooks.

In line with our takeover agreement with Strainstall three years ago, our engineers conducted a comprehensive inspection and verification of the current status of the Load Monitoring Systems. Post-verification, faulty load cells, and amplifiers were replaced to ensure the full berth was calibrated and operational again.

Quick Release Mooring Hooks with so-called hauling-in trolleys

At Straatman, we have all the expertise to meet special requirements of our clients. We recently have manufactured multiple 60T Quick Release Mooring Hooks with so-called hauling-in trolleys for a client in India. These trolleys, designed, manufactured, and tested in our factory in Zwijndrecht, will be used to haul in ships on a dry dock for the Indian Navy. 

Service visit QRMH and BAS Poland

Recently, our engineers visited the Alfa Terminal in Szczecin, Poland. This terminal is specialized in the trans-shipment and storage of bulk cargo and liquid chemical cargo.

Commissioning mooring project LNG Terminal Santos

For commissioning and training of our complete mooring system for the new built LNG Terminal de Regaseificação de São Paulo (TRSP), our engineers went to the city of Santos, São Paulo in Brazil. The terminal will accommodate the floating vessel “Höegh Giant”.

Mooring project Equinor Kårstø terminal

The mooring project for Equinor Kårstø terminal in Norway has been completed in our factory and on its way to Norway. The Kårstø processing plant, located in the north of Stavanger, is the largest of its kind in Europe. The plant plays a key role in the transport and processing of gas and condensate from major sites of the northern parts of the North Sea.

Site inspection Brunei LNG, Quick Release Mooring Hooks

In 2011, James Fischer Strainstall supplied a complete mooring system to Brunei LNG consisting among others of multiple Quick Release Mooring Hooks and a Berthing Aid System. As part of our take over agreement with Strainstall, which enables Straatman to provide OEM spares to all Strainstalls historical Quick Release Hook projects as well as providing system upgrades and on-site support and servicing, our colleague Gertjan executed a site inspection at Brunei LNG last week.

Commissioning of complete mooring system FSRU

For safe side-by-side mooring, we delivered a complete mooring system to FSRU Toscana, which is permanently moored about 22 km off the Italian coast between Livorno and Pisa, in the region of Tuscany.

Quick release hooks for Offshore Installation Vessel

Last week we finalized another interesting offshore mooring project, for equipment to be installed on an Offshore Wind Farm located at the East Coast of the USA . Our mooring equipment will enable to moor the feeder barge safely alongside the Offshore Installation Vessel.

Located in the most northern part of the Netherlands, these new mooring dolphins at Eemshaven are built to be able to moor Les Alizés, a new floating offshore installation vessel of Jan de Nul for offshore renewables.
