The Straatman Mooring Load Monitoring System (MLMS) is an advanced system crafted for the continuous measurement of load on quick release hooks. These hooks come equipped with a particular load cell that precisely gauges the mooring loads on each separate hook
Our software platform brings together the visualisation of mooring loads, historical records, and alarms set by the client. When a vessel is firmly anchored to the dolphin, the genuine load value from each load cell is straight away sent to the monitoring software. This digital dashboard offers a transparent insight into the load on each line. If these loads go beyond the set maximum limits, instant alerts will be dispatched to the operators, ensuring timely intervention.
The mooring loads and alarms can be viewed and recorded in various ways:
- Direct display(s) on the hook.
- A high-resolution TFT colour monitor positioned in the control room.
- Displays built into a dedicated control panel, adaptable for remote control functionalities.
Integration with a berthing aid system
The MLMS can also be smoothly integrated with a berthing aid system, ensuring that all relevant information is observed, depicted, and stored in a single system.
