Berthing Aid System

The Straatman Berthing Aid System, often referred to as the Docking Aid System, incorporates top-tier laser and LED technology. This system gauges the gap between the wharf and the flank of an incoming ship using precise laser technology. Measurements such as the distance (at both the Bow and Aft), approach speed, and angle can be observed on a standard computer or a prominent LED screen. This display also conveys other pivotal information like wind velocity, tide flow, sea conditions, and more, crucial for safe mooring.

How does the Berthing Aid System work?

The system uses lasers to determine the distance between the wharf and the side of an incoming ship. These measurements are showcased both on a wharf-attached display and inside the control room. The LED display is a product designed by our associated business, FactoryLab.

We offer a plethora of supplementary features, from wireless tablet communications to advanced pager systems.
