Berthing Aid System

Also known as the Docking Aid System, the Straatman Berthing Aid System harnesses advanced laser and LED technology. By deploying laser technology, it gauges the distance between the jetty and the flank of an approaching vessel. Essential metrics, including distance (both at the Bow and Aft), rate of approach, and angle, are accessible on a standard PC and a prominent LED display. Furthermore, this LED screen can showcase pivotal data such as wind velocity, tide, wave conditions, and other crucial factors to facilitate secure mooring.

How does the Berthing Aid System work?

The system employs lasers to determine the distance between the jetty and the approaching vessel's side. These readings are presented both on a display positioned at the jetty and within the control room. The LED display is a product of our associate company, FactoryLab.

We also offer advanced features like wireless tablet communication and intricate pager systems. With our consolidated expertise, we guarantee adaptability and extensive customisation options for our clientele. Do share your specific project needs with us; we excel at addressing unique challenges.
