Mooring projects ready to ship
11 June 2026
Straatman Mooring Systems is preparing several new mooring projects for delivery. The projects are now in the final stage at our factory floor and warehouse. We will soon ship the mooring equipment to clients in Mexico, Europe and North America.
Quick release mooring hooks for Mexico
For an ammonia and fuel terminal in Mexico, Straatman Mooring Systems will deliver 7 pcs of quick release mooring hooks. These hooks include mooring load monitoring. They also have remote release and a CMS system. This helps the terminal team work safely and keep a clear view of the mooring loads during operations.
Upgrade for oil jetties in Rotterdam
Straatman Mooring Systems is also working on an upgrade for 2 oil jetties in Rotterdam. The old units date from the 1960s. We will replace them with 18 quick release mooring hook units. This project also includes load monitoring, remote release, ATEX CMS and an environmental monitoring system. In total, the project needs 18 different base plate designs.
Capstans for Northern Europe
For a client in Northern Europe, Straatman Mooring Systems will supply 18 right-angle capstans. Each capstan has a low-capstan head and comes with motor starters. These capstans support safe and smooth mooring work at the terminal.
Complete mooring system for North America
For an LNG terminal in North America, Straatman Mooring Systems will deliver a complete mooring system. This package includes quick release mooring hooks, berthing aid systems, environmental monitoring systems and carry-on board systems.
ready to ship
The projects are now almost ready to leave our factory. From single capstan units to a full mooring system, we build each solution to support safe and reliable terminal operations. Soon, the equipment will be on its way by truck and plane to clients around the world.
