Ship-to-Shore Link Systems for South America

Straatman recently delivered two Small-Scale SafeCom Ship-to-Shore Link (SSL) systems to a client in South America. These systems support safe communication between terminals and vessels during cargo transfer operations. Both systems are equipped with 5-pin SIGTTO connectors. They are designed for installation on both the terminal side and the Floating Storage Unit (FSU). This configuration ensures safe and reliable communication during oil and chemical transfer operations.

Reliable communication during cargo transfer

The Ship-to-Shore Link system provides a secure Emergency Shut Down (ESD) communication link between vessel and terminal. This communication is essential during cargo transfer operations. The 5-pin SIGTTO connector guarantees reliable signal exchange between both sides. The system fully complies with SIGTTO industry standards. This ensures safe coordination between the terminal and the vessel during loading or unloading.

User-friendly and flexible operation

Each SSL system features smart pushbuttons and a clear, intuitive interface. Operators can easily control the system during operations.
