Proven in practice

For more than 30 years, Straatman produces quick release mooring and towing hooks in its own factory in Holland. During this period, our mooring and towing hooks have been installed all over the world in several kinds of industries. Our products have proven their worth in practice, as Straatman became a leading manufacturer of mooring and towing solutions.

Traceability

One of the main topics in our quality assurance process is material traceability!

All critical parts of our quick release mooring hooks are fully traceable. Starting from procurement up to final production all steel parts are registered and marked.

The so called unique numbers are indelible engraved in our parts, referring to the same unique numbers mentioned on the materials certificates. The material certificates are supplied as a part of the construction file.

Welding quality

As we produce all parts of our mooring hooks in our own factory in Holland we are able to ensure the quality of our processes and products.

An important part during the production of our quick release mooring hooks is welding. Our dedicated team of certified welders spend a lot of time on the quality control of their welds.

To assure our quality all welds of the critical parts are non-destructive tested (NDT). All NDT reports are supplied as a part of the construction file for each quick release mooring hook project.

NDT is an important subject in our project ITP (Inspection & Test Plan). Feel free to contact our QC department in case of questions about our Quality Control processes.

Innovative

Our team of dedicated engineers and developers are working on improvements and innovative solutions for our mooring hooks on a continuous basis. Regularly new products and solutions are introduced on the market.

Wide range of options

A wide range of options can be added to our quick release mooring hooks. Some examples are:
