Complete Mooring System Shipped to Denmark
5 November 2025
This week, Straatman shipped another fully engineered mooring system from our factory in Zwijndrecht, the Netherlands to Denmark. We developed this project in close cooperation with our partner MSB Industries. The result is a complete, integrated system designed for safe and efficient mooring operations.
High-performance mooring equipment
The shipment includes six double 75-ton Quick Release Mooring Hooks. Each unit is equipped with IP66-rated capstans, ensuring reliable performance in harsh maritime conditions. In addition, we integrated Mooring Load Monitoring and a remote release system. These features give operators real-time insight and allow safe intervention when needed. As a result, the system improves both safety and operational control.
Integrated berthing and monitoring system
This project goes beyond mooring hooks alone. We also supplied a Berthing Aid System, which supports accurate vessel approach and docking. Furthermore, the system includes a central PC running our MoorControl software. This platform provides operators with a complete overview of the mooring process. Operators can monitor real-time data, respond to alarms, and manage safety-critical functions from one interface. Therefore, they can operate more efficiently and with greater confidence.
Full in-house execution
We handled the entire project in-house, from design and engineering to production and final testing. This approach gives us full control over quality, planning, and performance. It also allows us to deliver consistent and reliable systems, even for complex projects.
Strong partnership
We would like to thank our agent MSB Industries for their professional and pleasant cooperation. Strong collaboration makes the difference in projects like this. Together, we delivered a future-ready mooring solution that meets the highest standards.
