Recent Dredging Equipment Projects

Straatman’s Dredging & Construction team recently completed several important projects. The team continues to deliver reliable dredging equipment for leading international dredging companies. Over the past weeks, multiple deliveries, inspections, and production milestones were successfully completed.

Successful collaborations with major contractors

Straatman delivered two female parts (Ø1000) to Boskalis after a successful Factory Acceptance Test (FAT). The FAT was carried out together with Boskalis’ inspector. The components fully met all technical and quality requirements. In another project, a representative from Jan De Nul’s Quality Control department visited our facility. During this visit, the final inspection took place for a complete male part of a Bow Coupling (Ø750). After inspection, the component was approved for delivery. These projects highlight the strong cooperation between Straatman and leading dredging contractors worldwide.

Production progress for major projects

Our production team is also finalising a significant order for Femern Link Contractors (FLC). This project includes three Ø1000 Bow Couplings, which will soon be shipped to Denmark. The Femern project is one of Europe’s largest infrastructure developments. Reliable dredging equipment plays an important role in this complex marine construction project. At the same time, our team completed a Quick Release Ball Joint (Ø800) for Damen. The project was delivered within the same production timeframe, demonstrating the flexibility and capacity of our manufacturing team.

Upcoming delivery for a new hopper dredger

Straatman is also preparing the delivery of a complete Bow Coupling installation (Ø762). This system will be installed on a new hopper dredger for a dredging contractor based in the United States. More details about this project will be shared soon. With these projects, Straatman continues to supply high-quality dredging components and reliable coupling systems for the global dredging industry.
