Straatman accepts order for Solar powered lighting poles

We are happy to announce that we accepted an order for the design, production and supply of 36 autonomous Solar powered lighting poles for the waiting area of a port in the south of the Netherlands.

The solar powered lighting poles will be used as working lights on platforms and bollards. This way, the port ensures good working lights and makes sure that all employees can work safely 24 hours a day. Besides, there will be beaming lights to make sure that signage, pole number and wind vane are always visible for the ships that moor at the lock.

The frames, developed and fabricated by our sister company MFS Constructie BV, must be able to withstand all weather conditions and sea spray. To be able to switch the lighting on and off from a distance and to check the battery and state of charge, the dataloggers and software platform LoRa, developed by our sister company Factorylab, will be used. This project is another example of a smooth and perfect collaboration between our companies.
