Solar powered mini capstans

We design and manufacture custom capstans in a wide range of shapes and sizes. For this project, we delivered a winching solution for a remote location without access to grid power.
Compact design with off-grid power supply
The off-grid solar system provides sufficient energy for a 1.5-kilowatt capstan. It delivers a hauling speed of fifteen metres per minute and a continuous pulling capacity of five hundred kilograms.
All components are integrated into a compact unit with a footprint of only three hundred by three hundred millimetres. As a result, maximum working space remains available on the existing mono pile platforms.
Reliable operation in remote conditions
The system includes integrated lighting to support safe operation during nighttime. In addition, the battery system ensures reliable availability. Even without sunlight, the capstan can continue operating for up to twenty-five days.
