Solar powered Quick Release Hooks Port of Rotterdam
The Port of Rotterdam keeps on expanding and we are more than pleased to play a part in this.
Straatman has been awarded to manufacture, supply and install 24 pcs of quick release mooring hooks including solar power systems for the new Ship to Ship berths along the Rozenburg peninsula in the Calandkanaal in the Port of Rotterdam.
By choosing our equipment, the port authority will have a continuous real-time safety monitoring of the moored vessels. This means that the port can take actions based on real-time happenings.
The solar systems will power the capstans and work lights in order to guarantee safe berthing. Some of the quick release mooring hooks will be provided with load- and telemonitoring and must comply to ATEX regulations.
All equipment is planned to be installed in the summer of this year.
