Mooring equipment for USA offshore windfarm
Straatman has been awarded a contract to supply mooring equipment on barges for a USA Offshore windfarm project
We are pleased to announce that Straatman has been chosen to supply the quick release mooring hooks for Crowley. Recently, Straatman has successfully supplied two similar projects, and therefore it was a logical choice for Crowley to award this project to Straatman as well.
Straatman will manufacture all mooring equipment to be installed on the barges, which is used to transfer the wind turbines to the offshore wind farm of Ørsted.
Our mooring equipment will facilitate the safe and efficient mooring of the Service Operation Vessel to the offshore Installation vessel.
Our scope of supply includes:
- Multiple 150T and 100T double quick release mooring hooks
- Integrated capstan and remote release system for each hook
- 2 x Carry on Board systems with our MoorControl software
- MoorControl provides live load monitoring data
- Remote hook release capability from a safe distance via laptop
