Bow discharge coupling unit for Damen Dredging Equipment

Last year, Straatman was awarded an order for a bow discharge coupling unit, by Damen Dredging Equipment. Straatman completed the engineering and production of this impressive 50-ton assembly at our factory in Zwijndrecht.

The bow discharge installation, with an inside diameter of ø900 mm, consists of a fixed female part welded to the gantry bend, and a separate male coupling part with integrated floating body. The platform construction, which supports the coupling, is suitable for welding directly onto the deck of the dredger. The completed bow discharge assembly left our factory earlier this year, ready for installation on the vessel, ensuring optimal dredging performance and efficiency.
