107 pcs of 300T Smart Bollards for Prinses Amaliahaven
Straatman will deliver 107 pcs of 300T Smart Bollards to Prinses Amaliahaven, the largest construction project in the port of Rotterdam.
The Smart Bollards, a patented Straatman innovation that measures the loads acting on the mooring lines and provides the actual data to the Port Authority, will be installed on the new quay walls. The monitoring and data collection from the Smart Bollards will not only lead to more efficient port operations but will also help to prevent unsafe situations from arising while vessels are moored.
The first batch is ready and tested in our factory last week for type approval on SWL 300 and 600T load test. The first units will be delivered this year while the complete project will be operational in 2024.
The Smart Bollard is tested and developed in close cooperation with Port of Rotterdam. We are proud to have all the in-house expertise at Straatman to be able to develop innovative products that provide a great added value for ports worldwide.
