Every part we craft at Straatman Dredging & Construction contributes to something much bigger. Last Friday marked another milestone as we completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of two essential female parts for bow couplings destined for Jan De Nul’s prestigious fleet.
Specifically, we delivered:
🔧 Ø900 female part for bow coupling – 24 Bar for the TSHD Filippo Brunelleschi
🔧 Ø1000 female part for bow coupling – 24 Bar for the TSHD Charles Darwin
Both pieces were meticulously engineered to meet rigorous specifications, ensuring optimal performance under demanding maritime conditions. A special highlight: the comprehensive coating of these components was entirely done in-house, showcasing our commitment to maintaining strict quality control throughout every step of the manufacturing process.
This recent project carries extra sentimental value for us. It connects us back to a significant milestone in our company's history. Back in 2002, we proudly constructed the entire bow discharge installation for the TSHD Filippo Brunelleschi. Being involved again, more than two decades later, brings a sense of continuity and pride, emphasizing the trust and lasting partnerships we build with our clients.
At Straatman, we firmly believe our work goes beyond creating reliable components. Each part we produce contributes to global infrastructure projects that shape coastlines, expand ports, and enhance maritime trade routes worldwide. Our clients, like Jan De Nul, transform these critical parts into the infrastructure that shapes the earth.
We look forward to seeing our products in action, playing their part in monumental projects executed by these powerful vessels. It is this partnership between skilled craftsmanship and groundbreaking marine engineering that drives us forward every day.
Together, we are not just building parts—we are building the world ;-).
