This project supports the development of a green ammonia export facility, which is an important step in the energy transition. As demand for alternative fuels grows, projects like this are becoming increasingly important. Therefore, reliable offshore infrastructure is essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><picture><source srcset=\"https:\/\/mfstraatman.com\/nl\/wp-content\/webp-express\/webp-images\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/03\/37cd0284-bc36-43d2-ad8d-b24ac7daa2f8.jpg.webp\" type=\"image\/webp\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mfstraatman.com\/nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/03\/37cd0284-bc36-43d2-ad8d-b24ac7daa2f8.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1789 webpexpress-processed\"><\/picture><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Complete buoy-based mooring solution<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project consists of a buoy-based control and hydraulic release system. In total, the system includes four offshore buoys, each designed to operate in harsh marine conditions. These buoys are equipped with eight GMH-100 hydraulic release hooks. These hooks ensure safe and controlled mooring and release of vessels during offshore operations. In addition, the system enables operators to manage mooring operations with precision and reliability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Integrated systems for offshore performance<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides the <a href=\"https:\/\/straatmanmooringsystems.com\/mooring-systems\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mooring equipment<\/a>, Straatman supplied all supporting systems required for full operation. The scope included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/straatmanmooringsystems.com\/mooring-systems\/solar-power-system\/buoys\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Solar power systems<\/strong> <\/a>for autonomous energy supply<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Navigation aid lights<\/strong> to ensure visibility and safety<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A foghorn system<\/strong> for operation in low-visibility conditions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Control systems for the HPU, subsea valves, and transmitters<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the project included a portable telemetry unit. This allows operators to monitor and control the system remotely. To ensure stable communication, Straatman implemented a redundant SHF mesh network. As a result, the system maintains reliable data exchange, even in offshore conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Delivered and ready for operation<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The full system has now been delivered and pre-commissioned, ensuring it is ready for installation and operation offshore. Overall, this project demonstrates Straatman\u2019s ability to deliver complete, integrated offshore mooring solutions.
