Kraaijeveld <\/a>service engineers recently travelled to Turkey and Tunisia to support the delivery of new MED-A2800 tugboats. During this visit, they carried out bollard pull tests, sea trials, and winch commissioning. These activities ensured that all systems perform as required under real operating conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Testing and commissioning on site<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In Turkey, our engineers attended the bollard pull tests and sea trials. These tests verify the performance and reliability of the tugboats. At the same time, the team completed the commissioning of multiple winches on board. This included system checks, calibration, and functional testing. As a result, the winches are fully operational and ready for service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Training for local crews<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In addition, our engineers provided training sessions for local crews in Tunisia. Proper training ensures safe and efficient use of the equipment. The crews received hands-on instruction on operation, safety procedures, and maintenance. This reduces risks and improves daily performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Complete winch systems on board<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The MED-A2800 tugs are built for OMMP, Tunisia\u2019s national port authority. Each vessel is equipped with complete (anchor) towing winch<\/a> systems. Kraaijeveld designed, manufactured, and delivered all winches<\/a>. This includes hydraulic systems, electrical controls, and integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strong international collaboration<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This project highlights the value of close cooperation between partners. Med Marine, agent BTMavrasya, and Kraaijeveld worked together throughout the project.
