The terminal is located in the Port of Mukran on R\u00fcgen Island, along the Baltic Sea coast. The Mukran terminal plays an important role in Germany\u2019s energy transition. It helps secure the country\u2019s energy supply and reduces reliance on Russian natural gas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reliable mooring infrastructure for LNG operations<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Straatman supplied the complete mooring system for the terminal jetty. The installation supports safe and efficient mooring operations for LNG carriers. The delivered equipment includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/straatmanmooringsystems.com\/mooring-systems\/quick-release-mooring-hook\/quick-release-mooring-hook-lng-terminals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">150-ton Quick Release Mooring Hooks (QRH)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/straatmanmooringsystems.com\/mooring-systems\/environmental-monitoring-system-ems\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Environmental Monitoring System (EMS)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remote Monitoring System<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Central control panel with Straatman\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/straatmanmooringsystems.com\/mooring-systems\/moorcontrol\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MoorControl <\/a>software<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These systems work together to give operators full control and real-time insight into mooring operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Monitoring and operational control<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Quick Release Mooring Hooks secure vessels safely during loading operations. Operators can release the hooks quickly in emergencies. The Environmental Monitoring System measures wind and weather conditions at the terminal. This information helps operators make safe decisions during berthing and cargo transfer. The Remote Monitoring System provides continuous data about the mooring equipment. Operators can monitor system status directly from the control room. All systems are integrated in a central control panel using Straatman\u2019s MoorControl software. The software visualises the mooring system and supports fast decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supporting Europe\u2019s energy infrastructure<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>With this project, Straatman contributes to the safe operation of one of Germany\u2019s newest LNG import terminals. Reliable mooring technology is essential for terminals handling LNG carriers. The installation ensures safe vessel handling, efficient operations, and high operational reliability.
