107 pcs of 300T Smart Bollards for Prinses Amaliahaven
Straatman will deliver 107 pcs of 300T Smart Bollards to Prinses Amaliahaven, the largest construction project in the port of Rotterdam. The first batch is ready and tested in our factory last week for type approval on SWL 300 and 600T load test. The first units will be delivered this year while the complete project will be operational in 2024.

Straatman mooring equipment LNG terminal Paldiski.
In cooperation with our local representative, Straatman accepted a fantastic order for LNG terminal Paldiski in Lahepere Bay in Estonia. Since the terminal needs to be operational in Q4-2022 the delivery time was one of the main selection points of the local contractor. As Straatman still manufactures most of the parts in-house, we are able to meet this very challenging time schedule.

Our mooring and dredging expertise combined
A couple of years ago we used our expertise to design remotely operated 250 tons quick release hooks, equipped with a solar powered hydraulic powerpack. These are used by a mega cutter suction dredger on their left and right anchor line pontoons, for safe deployment and operation. The lines are used to move the ship in a left-to-right motion, sweeping their dredging work along the sea or river bed.

Old style traffic light BAS system
Recently we dispatched a Berthing Aid System which is now on the way to our USA Refinery Customer in Baytown Texas. The supplied equipment, once installed, measures speed and distance of an approaching vessel and compares the obtained data with pre-programmed allowable values.

Smart Bollard in full action during storm Eunice.
Last Friday, Storm Eunice hit the Netherlands with gusts of 75 mph. With such storms there is a chance that the mooring lines will snap. This is exactly why we developed the Smart Bollard: by using our system, the actual load on the bollard can be followed real-time and the right actions on the right moments can be taken.
