Straatman secures Finkenwerder project in Germany
Machinefabriek L. Straatman wins order for Finkenwerder project in Germany! We are happy to announce that we have secured a new order for our solar power supply systems in combination with our quick release mooring hooks to be delivered to the Port of Hamburg.
The systems will be installed on 19 Dolphins in the Elbe close to the Finkenwerder area.
The complete project consist of a new-build temporary waiting area for seagoing vessels realized by the JV “Arbeitsgemeinschaft GSWP Finkenwerder”, consisting of the companies F+Z Baugesellschaft (technical leader of the JV), AUG. PRIEN Bauunternehmung and Taucher Knoth from Hamburg in Germany.
All the dolphins will be equipped with triple and quadruple 125 and 150 tons Quick Release Hooks. The solar systems will power the capstans and working lights in order to guarantee a safe berthing. Solar power instead of power cables was a logical step for the port authority after they have inspected the proven Straatman systems in the port of Rotterdam.
All the equipment will be developed, fabricated and tested in our own factory in Zwijndrecht according to specifications of the Hamburg Port Authority( Hpa).
The complete project is planned to be installed in Q4-2019.
